CNPC USA Achieves Milestone with Successful GuardPro™ Packer Field Tests
The GuardPro™ 5-1/2" permanent production packer successfully deployed in the Tarim Oilfield.
Tarim Basin — CNPC USA has achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of field tests for the GuardPro™ production packer technology at the Bozi #5 and Pishan #107 wells.
Between **September 12 and 22**, the **GuardPro™ 5-1/2" V0-grade 200°C/105MPa permanent production packer** demonstrated flawless execution in a single run. The tool was successfully deployed, set, and tested under extreme operational pressures reaching **119 MPa** during intensive acid fracturing operations.
Proven HPHT Reliability
This achievement further validates CNPC USA’s breakthroughs in high-temperature, high-pressure (HPHT) downhole technology. Our engineering team has now successfully developed a complete series of API-certified packers:
