FA 2-Ultra-Low IFT Surfactant System
FA 2 is an ultra-low interfacial tension oil displacement surfactant system primarily composed of non-ionic surfactants. This patented, high-efficiency agent is specifically engineered for chemical flooding applications to enhance oil recovery in challenging reservoir environments.
Key Advantages
- Salinity Tolerance: Up to 30,000 mg/L
- Temp Stability: Application up to 60 ℃
- Interfacial Tension: Ultra-low, down to $~ X \cdot 10^{-3} mN/m$
- Recovery Rate: > 95% oil recovery in lab core flooding
Typical Properties
- • Appearance: Dark brown Liquid
- • Product Activity: 65% – 75%
- • Specific Density: 0.97 – 1.05 g/cm³
- • Viscosity: < 1000 cp
- • Flash Point: > 210 °F (100 °C)
- • Pour Point: < 32 °F (0 °C)
- • Solubility: Fully water soluble
Applications & Performance
- Primary use in surfactant-based chemical EOR for water flooding reservoirs.
- Phase behavior tests confirm easy formation of **Windsor III type microemulsion**.
- Experimental core flooding yields **70% to 98% oil recovery**.
- Field proven since 2019 with OOIP improvements of **3% to 10%**.
- Recommended Dosage: 0.2% to 2.0%.
Phase Behavior Experiment: Evaluation of Interfacial Activity
